Chapter 9 (Part 2) - Let's Sing the Song
Hello Everyone!!
Today is still about Song
Linguistic Characteristics
- Imagery. Imagery describes about feelings and emotions. A song usually tries to describe how the writer feels.
- Rhythm. The rhythm here is used to create the mood. For example, if we are sad and listen to a song with a slow rhythm, we will get carried away with the song. So, rhythm creates mood!
- Figures of speech
Structure of Song
- Intro, which is the beginning of the song, usually the singer's voice has not been heard (only the instrument)
- The verse, or stanza, is the introductory part to the chorus.
- Refrain, switching from verse to chorus
- The chorus, the core part, is usually the easiest to remember.
- Bridge, connecting the chorus to the next chorus or to the coda.
- Coda, closing song.
Thank you
See you next time
